about

When I formed Bound by Entrails over 10 years ago, I had a vision for the band and the music that was fueled by my love for black metal, my appreciation for musicianship, and a goal to make good music for people who enjoyed the same. Never in a thousand years did I think that we would gain the loyal fan-base and unexpected appreciation that we have. For this, I thank all of you.

After multiple lineup changes and relocations, we’ve grown stronger as musicians and have grown as individuals. The most recent change brought myself and original founding drummer Jesse Stika back together to attempt to continue the BBE legacy. After writing and recording the music for a new album, we’ve come to realize that BbE is no longer what it was before. We’re different, and because of this, our music is different. So much so that we feel it is time to officially announce that BBE has been disbanded. Jesse and I are going to finish the current album and release it as a new entity, which we will announce at a later date.

As a departing note, we’d like to offer this last unreleased recording. In the first chapter of BBE, we would listen to this song before every practice and every show to get us amped up and ready to slay. It is only appropriate that we end with what motivated us to begin. Thank you everyone.

Cheers,

Brett Wehmeyer
